BLOGGER IS BLOGGED....By the way, it appears that Blogspot has
been down since early this morning. If you can't get through to Atrios
or any of the other Blogger-based sites, that's why.
UPDATE: Blogger is back. See, all it took was for me to write a post
about it being down, and like magic it returns. It's the power of
Calpundit!

I use Blogger, but host my blog on my own site. So, anyway, I can't
update today. This is the last straw, I tell you. I'm moving to MT or
another system ASAP. As soon as Blogger comes back, I'm harvesting my
old entries and porting them over. Jeez! I'm a paid subscriber on
Blogger Pro and it's just one outage after another.
FYI: I've just checked status.blogspot.com, and apparently they are
suffering a "denial of service attack". Anybody know how long it takes
to recover from these?
Oh -- maybe I spoke too soon.
Correction: that should be status.blogger.com.
Speaking of denial of service attacks, I ran into several long
patches of extremely slow connections and unresolved hosts last night. I
could access the 'net, but off and on all Twin Cities sites were
unavailable, and a lot of major sites like Microsoft.com were down.
??
I promise to become a paid subscriber if anyone ever starts a "Why the Internet is Down Right Now" blog!
Somewhat OT, but on this site, I keep having to re-enter my info for
each comment. Any other commenters here having the same problem?
Rejoice! As of 15:18 EDT Blogger (and Atrios) are up and commenting.
Mark G., I, too, had a terrible time last night 2100 and after EDT.
Thought it was my ISP since I'm behind the back of beyond...some trouble
this AM also.
Kevin, since you're so influential among the Blogger folks, can you please tell them that I am not the author of "My Boyfriend Doesn't Approve of Christianity"? Thank you.
Haggai, me too. I've yapped a couple of times, but I'm not sure
whether the cookie function is mucked up or it's going to the wrong
cookie file on my machine, or what. That's despite checking the
"remember me" button every time.
OK, anyone else having the same problem with comments here? I don't
want to speak for Linkmeister's computer, but mine pretty much blows, so
it wouldn't surprise me if it was just a problem on my end. And if
that's the case, can anyone tell me what I can do about it?
Well, since the Power of Calpundit is apparently so impressive, can you write a post about my current lack of a job? Thanks!
comment problem here. yes, me too.
Same problem w/ "Remember Me" for me. And it hasn't just been Kevin's site but accros the MT world for me today.
Haggai, I'm gonna start by looking for files named "cookies" on my
hard drive(s) and look in them for references to Calpundit.com; if there
is none, I'll have to look further, but that's my first guess.
(I can't explain why it might have disappeared; it used to work here.)
"Remember me" doesn't work on my site anymore. I don't know why.
I've got a few other problems too, but so far I've been too much of a coward to try and fix them. Maybe someday....
Thank you Calpundit, whoever you are!
(have we ever seen calpundit and kevin drum in the same - oh forget it.)
Um, Kevin, there are a whole slew of topics in the MT forums; one of
them might very well be "non-functioning cookie function." Grins...
