Good writers all, but they're having horrible problems with their templates.
How does the site look now, Aphrael? We seem to be having a problem mainly with IE5/Win. It doesn't seem to want to do what the stylesheet tells it.
CT has several other bloggers on the runway, some of them new, some well known. Stay tuned for new arrivals in the near future.
Kieran - it's worse, much, much worse. the calendar and the central text are now in giant font, and the overlap covers more of the text and is harder to read than it was before. See here.
I had massive problems with the template under IE when I set up my new weblog under MovableType; I ended up having to jettison the calendar altogether to make it work.
Ditto for me... I've had lots of problems viewing my site with anything less than IE6 and have had to dumb it down accordingly.
OK, I've put it back to the old template for now. So much for fixing things for IE5 users.
I hate Internet Explorer for Windows. The page renders perfectly on Safari, Mozilla, Konqueror, and even IE5 for Macintosh. But IE/Win. Nooooooo. That would be toooo easy.
Thanks for the feedback. Any CSS gurus out there who have advice on this are *very* welcome to email me.

I just found a typo in the stylesheet. Maybe this will help the IE5 problems (it was in a section of the CSS designed to cope with IE5).
If it doesn't fix it I'll be taking you up on your offer John.
I'd be a bit concerned about the name of the blog, since it's not unlike "bent wood", an unpleasant and unattractive attribute of the male special bits in some persons.
I assume the name is a reference to the the Kant quote "Out of the crooked timber of humanity, nothing straight may be fashioned." Which was then nabbed by Isaiah Berlin as the title for a collection of his essays.
